The team - Our Story and Mission

Founded to support Small Island Developing States, 

Little Blue Tree combines expertise in forestry and sustainability to build carbon forests with Paulownia elongata trees. We aim to restore land, secure carbon capture, and empower local green economies while fostering community well-being.

Billy

Billy was born and raised in Australia on a 3,000 acre working farm in Victoria. She is trained as an interior architect and building designer and has spent many years working on sustainable developments.

Over the last several years Billy has been located in the Caribbean focusing and observing sustainable farming practices. 

Mike

Michael was born and raised in Grenada and has spent the last 35 years, farming and nurturing the local environment. Mikel has a green thumb when it comes to plants and has recently travelled to the UK to broaden his knowledge and skills in farming practices and plant nursery operations. Mike is skilled in traditional farming methods which is an asset in remote places.

Linda

Dr Linda (PhD) has a tertiary teaching and research background in the field of education. In 2022 to 2023, Linda was Griffith University’s (Australia) Climate Action Beacon Education Lead. She specialises in literacy, the social sciences—with a focus on sustainability (which includes environmental, social, economic, and political factors), and community and family engagement.
