Mission statement
The Little Blue Tree CIC designs and develops Sustainable Carbon Forests in partnership with local communities across Small Island Developing States (SIDS).
Each project follows a 10-year regenerative cycle, from establishment through to maturity, using a rotational forestry system that enables annual, sustainable timber harvesting. This creates ongoing income opportunities alongside complementary industries such as biomass production and wider land-based green enterprises.
Projects are delivered through locally led teams, supported by technical mentorship from Little Blue Tree CIC, with a strong commitment to skills development, knowledge transfer, and gender equity, particularly within emerging green and renewable sectors across SIDS.
At the end of each cycle, the forests are designed to operate independently and are transferred back to the host country as fully functioning, income-generating environmental assets, ensuring long-term local ownership and benefit.
Each Sustainable Carbon Forest is also designed to generate measurable climate impact, with the potential to sequester approximately 12.5 tonnes of CO₂ per hectare per year, contributing to verified carbon credit opportunities and global climate mitigation efforts.
This is our mission: to create self-sustaining forests that restore ecosystems, strengthen communities, and generate lasting climate and economic value.
